Some of you may have already seen these pictures. The first one is the bunker I was living in during the last few weeks of deployment. There is a room in the center of that cement and about 5 feet below the ground. I felt pretty safe in there. On the next one you will notice a hand print in the grease. I was climbing up onto the truck with all my gear for guard duty and I lost my balance and stopped myself from falling by putting my hand down and into the grease. Those tires are about as high as my belly button. The next picture show some of the friends we had out in Iraq. These things were anywhere there was a light. They sit in the heat and linger during the early morning. The last one is in Kuwait. This is what appears to be a McDonald's I can't read Arabic but I have a pretty good feeling that's what it is. There you have it.

Brett can often be found clinging to walls and basking in the sun. I asked him what he was doing once, and he just hissed at me. I walked away, and I thought I heard the sound of a switchblade clicking back into place.
