Hunter's Surgery

This is an old picture of Hunter just to show you what his ostomy bag looks like. For the last couple months he has had the delightful pleasure of pooping in a bag. Since he got sick a few days after he was born, due to holes in his small intestine, he had surgery to put this on until he was big enough and strong enough to have his guts put back in.

Here are his guts. We need to change his bag every day or so because the adhesive keeps coming off in one spot, or almost all the way off. So his poop gets all over his clothes, if he's wearing any (true Heywood), then it gets all over his bedding and makes a big nasty mess. So while we were cleaning him up I thought it would be cool for him to see his small intestine one day so I snapped this picture. After a successful surgery he will start pooping through his pooper and keep all his messes in his diaper. He is still three whole weeks before his due date so he has plenty of time to recover. We have been hoping he would be home by Halloween.
This is a pretty recent picture showing off his cuteness in his moose outfit.
This one was taken a few days ago. He has no more tubes. All his feedings come from a bottle or from Bobbie. He has been doing so good this past week. Thank you all for your prayers and support.

Unless it has changed, and according to Bryan, Hunter's surgery is Tuesday. Anyone able to fast, I'm sure it would be appreciated. We sure do love this little guy and can hardly wait to meet him in person! Love you Hunter! Grandma

All his messes won't be kept in the diaper either. He's so cute. I'm glad he's doing so well.
